Just wanted to stop by and say hello. I also want to thank the entire Betsy Layne Fire Department for some of the times of my life and allowing me to be a part of their family and brotherhood. Stay safe!
Just wanted to leave a message as our page is nearing 500,000 visits and also to express how appreciative we all should be to have Chief Eddie Clark. As recently demonstrated by his recent induction into the Betsy Layne High School Hall of Fame, Chief Clark was surely deserving. I've personally witnessed him and his son close their business on countless occasions to help protect the community they love and also saw Chief "go to bat" when Betsy Layne is faced with its toughest decisions. Chief, I'm quite sure I can speak for many others in saying that Betsy Layne wouldn't be what it is today without you and quite a few of us wouldn't be a part of it. For that, we say a very heartfelt "Thank You".
Stay Safe Brothers

It's so hard to believe that our fire dept. website has now been up and running since 2008. I just want to take a moment to thank all of our firefighters who have helped to make this project a success, our visitors of this page (soon to be 437,000) for stopping in from time to time to see what we are doing, and a special thanks to my brother firefighter, Lonzie Blankenship, who helps to keep this website as accurate as possible. Much appreciated, bro!

Hope you guys have a great weekend and that this upcoming snow doesnt have negative effects on you all. From your Brothers in Fire, MFD, Powell County KY.
Thank You Eddie for the lasting impression you have made on my life and the lives of countless others. It is fitting that a road be named in your honor. US 23 would have been a good choice as well
Your web page is AWESOME! Ultra professional!
Congrats on the site, looks great. Visit ours at www.miltonfireandrescue.org
Very nice site. Great to see all the departments back home grow over the years since I left. Excellent equipment and station- stay safe.
This July, our website will have been up and running for 3 years. Although it was a very time-consuming process with collecting most of the photos and accounts of years ago, it was also an honor to do it for both the department and the community.
Several people have told me how much they like the site as it allows them to keep "up to speed" on our emergency calls and other happenings within the department.
Thanks to others for their help and I'm proud to be a Betsy Layne firefighter! s/424
I would like to thank both the Betsy Layne firefighters and junior firefighters for showing up at the fire meetings and also for the good morale we all have being there now. Brian, I sure missed you and all the hard work you do as Quartermaster and Secretary. I'm so glad you are recovering well and are able to come back now. Edward, I sure missed you on the runs. You are my Assistant Chief, Training Supervisor, and my first mate. I'm so glad you made a good recovery and are back on the job. It takes all the firefighters to make a good department and I truly think we have the best around. We have been blessed so much in this department. Thank You again and may God continue to BLESS us all. Chief
You guys are right up there with the best! Out here we have paid departments that cannot reach this leavel. Just keep up the good work. Congrats on unit 426, hang in there. You all should be very proud, Your Line Officers should be proud.
Reviewing this website makes me stop and realize just how fortunate my family and I are to live in your area. I see that each of you either have your own individual job or go to school and that makes me even prouder that this is not your actual job and you go out of your way to volunteer your free time to benefit others. We can only wish that others would feel the same way and each of you should know alot of us have nothing but respect for the Betsy Layne fire department and the firefighters. Wonderful job and website and we thank you all every day.
